Case Competitions

Case competitions are an opportunity for our members to work under pressure, solve real-world problems, and present their solutions to industry professionals. These events simulate the fast-paced environment of consulting and allow teams to showcase their analytical, creative, and presentation skills.

Past Case Competitions

  • Lebow Fall Classic

    Hosted by the Drexel Consulting Group in partnership with the LeBow College of Business, this university-wide competition challenges students to apply real-world consulting skills. Teams analyze a business problem, develop strategic recommendations, and present their solutions to faculty and industry judges. This year’s case focused on improving LeBow’s student career services, encouraging innovative, actionable ideas to strengthen the student experience.

    Philly-Wide Case Competition

    The first-ever Philly-Wide Case Competition brought together Drexel, Temple, Villanova, and UPenn, with SEPTA as the case collaborator and BCG among the sponsors. Teams tackled pressing challenges from a vital Philadelphia organization, while gaining exposure to industry leaders and networking across universities.

    Financial Analysis Case Competition

    Hosted with the Business Analytics Club, this competition challenged students to apply financial analysis skills under time pressure. Teams worked collaboratively to solve real-world problems, sharpening both their quantitative and critical thinking abilities.

    Supply Chain Management Case Competition

    In partnership with the Business Analytics Club, this event tested students’ ability to design innovative supply chain solutions. Participants showcased skills in operations, data-driven decision making, and strategic collaboration—demonstrating how analytics power modern business success.

    Saxbys Case Competition

    In collaboration with Saxbys and the Dean’s Student Advisory Board, this case focused on the education and food & beverage industries. Teams developed strategies around market entry, scalability, and partnerships, testing their ability to deliver creative business solutions to real-world challenges.

    Sharing Excess Case Competition

    Partnering with nonprofit Sharing Excess, this competition tasked students with building strategies for food redistribution and expansion into new markets like NYC. Teams presented solutions around growth, ESG, and market entry—combining social impact with innovative business thinking.
